In the field of education we are sometimes unable to answer every question that comes our way. In doing research for this course and in preparation for the literature review I have found that accepting this is for my greatest good. It is okay to need help and to seek nontraditional methods of teaching as a way to catapult our students into greatness. I personally do not want to have a group of test takers and unproductive contributors to the world. I would much rather empower creativity, ownership, a courageous voice, and authenticity over anything else.
This presentation shows a snap shot of what blended learning has done for me, ways I can improve, and apply what the research has unraveled for me as an educator. I chose a simplistic approach as apposed to my normal because my team of ELAR teachers often tell me that I do not remediate enough where they understand without asking questions. This was important to me because they are my base of buy-in and also my support. Being able to identify areas of growth makes me stronger and pushes my resolve to create the best environment I can for my students. After all, my students are my why. They are my future and carry my hope for the future of education.
