Innovation Plan Outline for Implementation

Proposal

Introduce and implement blended learning with ePortfolios creating more flexibility to increase rigor for tier 1 (high) learners and close the achievement gap for tier 3 (below grade level) learners, reduce educator stress associated with creating differentiated learning, and give students the opportunity to improve effectiveness.

Phase 1: Planning

  • determine pilot learning environment (Moffitt's Room)

  • evaluate current data

  • submit formal proposal to admin. team

  • draft blueprint to create culture (teachers, students, parents & community)

  • review cost (NO ADDITIONAL COST ASSOCIATED)

  • secure cows (computers on wheels)

Phase 2: Goal Setting

  • timeline

  • smart/sexy goal (YWSA campus initiative)

  • measurable

  • discuss with admin. team

Phase 3: Pilot Implementation

  • 7th grade ELAR

  • Jan. 17th - June 6th 2018

Phase 4: Gather & Analyze Data

  • DOL (demonstration of learning) data

  • common assessments

  • homework

  • independent practice (classwork)

  • feedback from students, parents, administrators

  • make adjustments as needed

Phase 5: Complete Roll-out

  • 2018 - 2019 school year

  • begin with all ELAR classes
